Witham Ladies 2nds  5 v  1 Rebdridge and Ilford Academy
Witham ladies 2nd team entertained Redbridge and Ilford who dominated the first part of the game. Although Redbridge obtained a lot of short corners none were fruitful due to good Witham defending. With the score still 0-0 Witham made some substitutions with new player Shanice Cowell, having played a good defensive role, being replaced by Witham’s other new player, Kelly Thompson. Hazel Lowe swapped to Sweeper to strengthen the defence. This new formation suited Witham and resulted in Sue Field scoring the first goal. Witham continued to improve with Caroline Pym’s skill at keeping possession of the ball and feeding it to the attack leading to Sue Field scoring her second goal.Soon after the half time restart Sue Field scored her hat-trick leaving Redbridge and Ilford on the back foot. However, they never gave up and came back into the game with a well taken goal beating Witham's keeper Angela Falp for the first and only time. Witham scored two more goals both from Short corners, the first was a swift sweep from Sarah Balchin and the second was a sneaking tap in from Sam Field. Witham continued the pressure right till the end and ran out worthy 5-1 winners.
